KAOHSIUNG, CHINA - FEBRUARY 06: (CHINA OUT, TAIWAN OUT) A residential apartment collapses as a 6.7 magnitude tremor struck at 03:57 am Beijing Time on Saturday on February 6, 2016 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan of China. A powerful earthquake hit southern Taiwan\' Tainan City killing at least five people and injuring 49 according to China Central Television early morning. Rescuers have rushed to scour the wreckage, plucking survivors and then taken to hospitals. The mainland has offered to help Taiwan following the deadly earthquake and the ARATS has sent a letter to the SEF offering rescue assistance if needed. Ma Ying-jeou also expressed concern and condolences for those who have suffered in the quake and hurried for Tainan\'s Earthquake Disaster Response Operations Center to guide the rescue work.
