Violets are blue, roses are....how much!
An online florist has unveiled this year’s most extravagant Valentine’s bouquet – a bunch of roses costing £10,000.
These are not just any roses, however. They are grown 2,800 metres above sea level amid the mountains of Ecuador and stand five feet tall.
For £10,000, you get 1,000 of the blooms, each one with an average of 60 petals that are renowned for their soft, velvety, rounded appearance.
For good measure, ArenaFlowers.com, the online florist selling the giant-sized bouquet, throws in an iPad and bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal champagne.
The flowers are part of a range of gifts for Valentine’s Day called One of a Kind which launches today.
