Firefighter Saves Same Cat Twice
Georgia firefighter JIM CADENHEAD has saved the life of Welly the cat for the second time. In June, Cadenhead descended 40 feet into a well to rescue the orange cat. Welly was taken to a local shelter in Newnan where it was about to be euthanized because nobody had claimed him. Hearing that, the big-hearted fireman consulted with daughters, ages 10 and 11, and they made the unanimous decision to adopt the cat. 'This was quickly going from a positive to a negative,' said Cadenhead. 'For it to die would be a waste of what we did.'
