MOBSTR - Hilarious street art

NON EXCLUSIVE FEATURE:

In a hilarious experiment, graffiti artist, MOBSTR, tagged the same wall in London for a year.

For years, the artist cycled past this wall everyday to work and noticed the graffiti painted within the red area was ‘buffed’ with red paint, but the graffiti outside of the red area would be removed via pressure washing – which sparked the experiment.

MOBSTR started to tag this wall and every time he did, someone would come and clean it up. The messages left for each other turned into a humorous experiment.

“The frequency of the responses was dictated by the efficiency of the clean up crew. Sometimes they responded to my actions within the same day, other times it took months,” says MOBSTR.

The graffiti artist was careful to make sure he and the ‘cleaner’ worked different hours. He did manage to photograph the cleaner once though and this can be seen in the series.
